Globe Kit

Globe Manufacturing is the source for PCMCIA Kits. Whether standard Type I or Type II kits, or the most unique or complex custom or extended package, Globe can meet any PCMCIA project requirements.

The Globe Kit is available as a cover set only, cover set and frame, or as a full kit including cover set, frame and connectors. These rugged, single piece packages wrap around the 68-pin side and snap closed providing outstanding strength and package integrity. Globe's full 360-degree metal enclosure provides superior EMI/RFI characteristics. The Globe package also affords extremely fast, easy assembly, saving significantly on assembly time.

Globe PCMCIA Kits offer a virtual "open architecture" allowing the package to be adapted to almost any I/O connector configuration - from 9, 15, 22, 33 or more pins, shielded or unshielded, LED ports, battery or phone jack. Simply specify the type of connectors/openings your product will require and Globe can configure the frame to accept the I/O you have specified. This allows maximum flexibility and freedom in board layout, selection of connectors, and available board real estate.

Globe PCMCIA Kits can be fitted with mylar insulators. In Type II covers, a recess is provided for a label on both top and bottom covers.
